social media

Yup, it’s official: iKamva Labantu has embraced the future and upped the ante in terms of its online presence. We are very excited to announce our brand-new blog, Facebook fanpage and our very own Twitter profile! Social Media, or Web 2.0 as it is known, represents the future of the internet and holds infinite possibilities for the nonprofit sector. As a forward-thinking organisation, iKamva Labantu has embraced the web and is using it to improve the way we can communicate with the entire iKamva Labantu family – which includes potential donors, funders, partners and all interested members of the public.

Our newly launched blog gives you the opportunity to go inside our programmes like never before. You are able to follow iKamva Labantu staff member Robyn Deutsch, as she experiences the communities we serve and interacts with our beneficiaries. Our blog is growing quickly and we have started posting video clips and pictures to optimise your blog experience. We look forward to reading your comments on each blog post.

Become a fan of Ikamva Labantu on Facebook and join the more-than-120 fans who have shown their support already. Hundreds of beautiful pictures of our programmes, beneficiaries and staff have been posted and more are being added all the time. Add pictures of your iKamva Labantu experience, share stories, ask questions and join the community!

On our Twitter profile (username: IkamvaLabantu), we are linked with almost 50 other NPOs sharing information and advice. If you follow our ‘tweets’, you’ll get real-time updates on what is happening in the iKamva Labantu community.
